You could call an auto parts store and ask them, or go online and do a search online for a compressor that matches your make and model. Once you know the type of compressor you need you can begin searching for a refurbished one. A refurbished unit will often save you money on a new one.

A rebuilt air conditioning compressor is one that was taken from a vehicle and reconstructed in order to make it operational as new. You might think that a rebuilt part is not as good as a new one, but for the most part a rebuilt part will perform just as good and last just as long. Sometimes, your local auto parts dealer will offer refurbished parts. If not, check with a friendly local mechanic. Or, you could always try shopping online. The Internet is a great place to track down the exact part you need for a price you can afford.
